The Essex Township Office administers limited community assistance/general relief for qualifying township residents. General relief is considered a form of assistance of "last resort" and is often very limited when compared to other public assistance programs. IMPORTANT: Essex Township covers the southern half of Wyoming, IL (south of where Route 91 divides Wyoming) and some rural territory to the south and southwest, as well as the unincorporated area of Duncan (has the 61559 Princeville zip code, but Essex Township does NOT included Princeville itself).
