Eligibility

If receiving any form of Social Security (including SSI, SSDI, retirement) or cash assistance (TANF or AABD) through DHS (Public Aid), the household is not eligible for assistance through the township, including emergency assistance. If the household includes members under the age of 18, the household must first be screened by DHS (Public Aid) for TANF and be denied in order to be considered for any kind of township assistance. For rental assistance, household must have a notice from the landlord.
